RBI Grade B 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill certain requirements to appear for the RBI Grade B exam. It is essential for applicants to review the eligibility criteria in detail before completing the application. Nationality To apply for the RBI Grade B exam, the candidate should be either an Indian citizen or a citizen of Nepal or Bhutan. A Tibetan refugee who settled in India before 1 January 1962 or a person of Indian origin who migrated from countries such as Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam can also apply for permanent residence in India.

RBI Grade B 2023 Educational Qualification
Below are the educational qualifications candidates must possess to be eligible to participate in RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023.
(a) Grade ‘B’ (DR)-(General) Officers:
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or equivalent degree. Candidates must also achieve the minimum qualifying percentage or equivalent marks for their bachelor’s degree overall in all semesters/years and also in 12th and 10th standard examination.
(b) Grade ‘B’ Officers (DR)-DEPR:
Candidates must possess Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Economics/Integrated Economics/Finance Course with minimum 55% marks or equivalent marks from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / institute. Alternatively, candidates can obtain PGDM/MBA Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent from a recognized Indian or foreign University/Institute or Master’s Degree in Economics in any sub-category of Economics like Agriculture/Commerce. /developmental/applied, with minimum 55% marks or equivalent from a recognized Indian or foreign university/institution.
(c) Grade ‘B’ Officers (DR)-DSIM:
Candidates must possess Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with minimum 55% marks or equivalent marks in aggregate for all semesters/years. Alternatively, candidates may have Master’s Degree in Mathematics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent in aggregate in all semesters/years and one year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed institute. They may also have an M.Stat. degree from Indian Statistical Institute with minimum 55% marks in aggregate for all semesters/years or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) together presented via way of means of ISI Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with minimal 55% or equal grade in mixture for all semesters/years.

RBI Grade B Mains Exam Pattern for 2023
After clearing the preliminary exam, candidates will be eligible to appear for the main exam or phase 2. The main exam consists of three separate papers. Candidates who have applied for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- General will have to appear for Papers I, II and III. For RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR) – DEPR & DSIM, candidates have to appear for Paper-II & III. Paper I & III have 50% objective and 50% descriptive questions while Paper II is descriptive only. Each paper has 100 marks and the English paper is a descriptive test.

RBI Grade B Salary Structure
Selected candidates for the post of officer in RBI Grade B exam 2023 will get an annual salary of 12-14 Lakh. The pay scale for RBI Grade B Officer starts at Rs. 55,200/- and increases by Rs. 2850/- per annum for nine years. After that the officers will move to the executive group where the basic pay will be Rs. 80,850/-. There will be an increase of Rs. 2850/- for two years followed by an increase of Rs. 3300/- for the next four years leading to a basic pay of Rs. 99,750/-. This is base salary without any promotion.
Apart from the basic salary, the selected candidates will also get various allowances like Child Care Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. after joining the post of officer in RBI.
RBI Grade B 2023 Admit Card
Candidates must have admit card to appear in RBI Grade B exam. The RBI Grade B Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website or from the direct link given on it. Admit card will be issued separately for preliminary and main examination. Prelims Call Letter will be issued once the candidate has successfully submitted the online application.
