However,

(i) Those who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) are eligible for appointment as primary school teachers for classes 1-5. However, within two years of appointment as a primary school teacher, the individual must complete a 6-month bridge course (Brij Course) in primary education, recognized by the NCTE. The concerned school teacher will be granted 6 months of paid leave to complete this training.

(ii) Those who have obtained a three-year integrated B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualification from an institution recognized by the NCTE can be appointed as a primary school teacher for classes 1-5, provided that within 2 years of appointment as a school teacher, the individual must complete a mandatory 6-month bridge course in elementary education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. The concerned school teacher will be granted 6 months of paid leave to complete this training.

(iii) For Urdu positions in grades 1-5, candidates who have completed Intermediate (with 50% marks) in Urdu from the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board/Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, or from a recognized board, or those who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Urdu from a recognized university

(iv) For positions of Bengali teachers in grades 1-5, a Bachelor’s degree in Bengali or a degree in Bengali from a recognized university will be considered equivalent to 50% marks in the intermediate examination.

(v) Equivalent degrees in technical education and degrees related to special languages are not acceptable for the position of primary school teacher (grades 1-5). Degrees in special languages awarded by voluntary institutions or trusts will also not be considered valid for appointment as a school teacher.

(vi) For the appointment to the basic quota of primary school teachers from grade 1 to 5, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Extremely Backward Class/Backward Class and Divyang categories will be eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying score.

BPSC Teacher Exam 2023: Age Relaxation

Qualified candidates who have passed the eligibility examination prior to the implementation of these rules will be given a relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age limit in the first transaction of appointment after the implementation of these rules, based on the date of 01.08.2023.

However,

(i) For candidates who have passed the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2019 (advertisement number – 373/2019) and are applying under the current advertisement, the maximum age limit relaxation will be based on the date of 01.08.2019. Similarly, for candidates who have passed the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2022 (advertisement number 01/2023) and are applying under the current advertisement, the maximum age limit relaxation will be calculated based on the cut-off date of 01.08.2022.

(ii) Candidates who have passed the Computer Science subject in the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test 2019 will be eligible for a maximum age limit relaxation of 08 (eight) years based on the date of 01.08.2019. (iii) The maximum age limit will remain relaxed for appointed and serving teachers in Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipal Corporation Institutions.

(iv) The claim of exemption from the maximum age limit beyond the determined age of 10 years for persons with disabilities, as per the resolution memorandum 962 issued by the General Administration Department, Bihar, dated 22.01.2021, will be considered unofficial unless a certificate issued by the competent authority is submitted.

(v) As per the letter number 2447, dated 06.03.1990, and letter number 6706, dated 01.10.2008 of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Bihar, candidates from the general category must obtain a minimum of 40%, candidates from the backward class must obtain a minimum of 36.5%, candidates from the extremely backward class must obtain a minimum of 34%, and candidates from scheduled caste/scheduled tribe, women, and physically disabled candidates must obtain a minimum of 32% marks in the written examination. Otherwise, they will be disqualified from the competitive examination.

BPSC Teacher Exam 2023: Selection Process

Written Exam 4 hrs of 220 marks  mcq based question will be asked-• The written examination for all school teachers will be subject-specific and multiple-choice (MCQ-based). Negative marking will be given for each wrong answer

Candidates can choose any one subject in which they have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test. If the candidate has passed the Teacher Eligibility Test in one or more subjects, even in that case the candidate can choose only one subject as per his/her wish.

 Merit List:- On the basis of the result of the written examination, the Commission will prepare a provisional merit list of the successful candidates. In case of equal total marks in written examination (objective) first in age and in case of equality in age, the candidate whose name is alphabetically in Devanagari script will be given preference. 

Priority

• In the event of applying for more than one teacher’s posts in the light of the published advertisement, they will submit only one online application indicating the priority of the cadres according to their prescribed educational qualification and age. The preference of different categories of school teacher as per the qualification of all the candidates has to be entered in the online application.

• According to the order of merit, only one post will be allotted to the successful candidates on the basis of preference given by them for school teacher and availability of vacancy. After allotment of any one preference category, candidature will not be considered in the remaining categories, on which the candidate will not have any objection. A declaration to this effect will have to be made by the candidate in his/her online application.

• Candidates will have to give preference of three districts in descending order at the time of applying. District will be allotted to the successful candidates on the basis of preference and merit given for the district. According to the merit of the candidate, in case of non-receipt of any of the three preferences, he will be allotted the district with the vacant post according to the English alphabet.

• After the selection of the finally successful candidates, after the appointment of the selected candidates, the posting will be done by the District Education Officer in the concerned district on the basis of Merit-cum-choice, but if there is no vacancy in the school of preference on the basis of merit, the available vacancy According to this, posting can be done in any school.

Other Instructions:

(i) A candidate can participate in the examination a maximum of 03 (three) times. (ii) The Commission will not provide the right to the recommendation appointment until the satisfaction of the Administrative Department, after checking all the necessary documents, that the candidate is suitable for appointment as a school teacher in all respects.

Candidates should note:

(iii) The Commission will assess the eligibility of the candidates based on their self-declaration related to qualifications mentioned in the advertised online application form for the school teacher.

Note: (a) The level and detailed curriculum of subjects are available on the Commission’s website www.bpsc.bih.nic.in.

(b) In view of the applications received in response to the Commission’s advertisement, action will be taken to conduct the examination considering the claims made by the candidates regarding academic, professional qualifications, Teacher Eligibility Test, and other qualifications as true. After the Commission prepares the final merit list, the Department of Education will verify the authenticity of the claims made by the candidates in their eligibility application at their level. After verification of the claims made by the applicants and their submitted documents, the merit list can be modified by the Administrative/Education Department.

BPSC Teacher Exam 2023: Pattern & Syllabus 

The Exam will be conducted in two parts 

i) Language Paper : The language paper is qualifying in nature where it is divided into 2 parts Paper- I and Paper- II.

Paper -I is of English Language which consist 25 Questions of 25 Marks and

Paper -II is of Hindi Language / Urdu Language / Bangla Language any one of the three languages ​​will have to be selected. Paper -II Consist 75 Questions of 75 Marks.

At least 30 percent is mandatory to qualify this paper, including both the parts, but there will be no negative marking in it.

ii) General Knowledge Paper : The questions in the General Studies paper will be related to the SCERT syllabus of primary school, but its level will depend on the candidate in the light of the prescribed minimum qualification.General Knowlege paper consist 120 Questions of 120 Marks.The minimum Qualification Marks depend on the cut -off released by BPSC.

BPSC Teacher Exam 2023: Application Fee

Candidates have to deposit Rs.200/- (two hundred) as Biometric fee for each post and the following fee for different reservation category wise:

(i) For general candidates – Rs.750/- (seven hundred and fifty)

(ii) 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) for SC/ST

(iii) For all reserved / unreserved category women candidates – Rs.200/- (two hundred)

(iv) Rs.200/- (Two Hundred) for candidates with disabilities (40% or more)

(v) For all other candidates – Rs.750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty)

In addition to the above examination fee, the candidate will also have to pay the charges prescribed by various banks, which will automatically be taken as bank charges by the bank while making the online payment.

Note:-

(1) Those candidates, by whom the Aadhaar number (Aadhaar No.) is marked as an identity card in the online application, will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 200 / – (two hundred) per post as Biometric fee. not have to.

2) All such reserved category candidates / unreserved female candidates, by whom the concessional examination fee is deposited and in future such candidate does not present the certificate related to reservation, disability and permanent residence of the state of Bihar or any kind on it. If doubt arises, they may be disqualified on the basis of Concessional Examination Fee.Divyang candidates, Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and women candidates of all categories are informed in this context that if they voluntarily deposit the examination fee according to general candidates, then their candidature will be safe at this point. Candidates can take their own decision on this.

BPSC Teacher Exam 2023: Online Application Form filling-related dates and other instructions

Candidates are not required to send hard copies of the application form and related documents to the Commission’s office. If a candidate submits an application or any supplementary documents in hard copy, they will not be considered valid for the application/claims made based on that hard copy.

Candidates’ educational qualifications and reservation-related claims filled in the online application will be accepted as true, and further action will be taken to conduct the examination. The verification of the certificates submitted online will be done by the Commission.

(ii) Detailed instructions regarding the process of filling the online application will be displayed on the official website of the Commission, www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/www.onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in, from the date of the commencement of online application.

Candidates should carefully study the aforementioned instructions before filling the online application and provide all information accurately and clearly during the application process.

(A) After filling the details in the Registration and Application, there will be an option for Edit available until before making the payment. This provision will allow candidates to edit any entry made by them in the application.

(B) Before making online payment of the examination fee, candidates should ensure that all the information entered in the application is correct. There will be no provision for editing the entries made in the online application after payment.

(C) After making the online payment of the examination fee, candidates should immediately log in again and download the filled application from the “Download Filled Application Section” available on the dashboard. Note: Candidates who have completed the online application process but wish to cancel their application due to any error can cancel their application before the last date of application by canceling the application and then complete the application process by registering again and making the payment of the examination fee using the same mobile number/email ID. In such a case, the examination fee paid earlier will not be refunded.
